ComNet Releases First Video with Data Product

Introduces Digital Video with Data Series

Danbury, CT – Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, doing business as ComNet, a manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has introduced and officially released another series of all-new fiber optic video products. The FVT16 and FVR16 Series are digital fiber optic video transmitters and receivers with bi-directional data for use over multimode or single mode optical fiber. The difference between these all-new ComNet models is that these are an all-digital single fiber design. Most current competitive models are two fiber designs and you are charged a premium for the single fiber product. As part of the ComNet value philosophy, ComNet’s plan is to offer single fiber products at prices comparable to most competitive two fiber models.

According to George Lichtblau, ComNet Chairman, “Video with data fiber optic products are used in applications where camera PTZ control is needed. Just about every camera manufacturer offers some model that requires PTZ control. ComNet tests our products to work with all RS-232, RS-422 and two or 4 wire RS-485 data format devices. These types of video fiber optic video products are installed just about everywhere.” Many of the products available today are from 20-year-old designs. The ComNet FVTFVR16 Series are a new approach. I’m confident the performance and reliability of this model surpasses anything comparable on the market today. “I’m so confident in this new design, ComNet will back it with a lifetime warranty”, continued Lichtblau.

“With the introduction of our first video and data product series, we are just adding to what is going to be a very complete fiber optic product line.”, said Skip Haight, ComNet Vice President of Marketing. “The product lines we’re introducing now are the result of years of fiber optic experience. But the major difference between ComNet and the other suppliers is the customer care experience we offer. ComNet is a complete full-service company and not just a product line. From the initial contact forward, our customers will be truly surprised about how good the customer experience is.“ Haight continued.
